Audio Visual Service Engineer
Basic Salary £25,000-£30,000 plus overtime dependent on experience + vehicle
60% Out across the UK Installing and commissioning AV solutions within your corporate clients ** may be required to stay away for larger projects
40% Help desk / Service Call outs / PM visits for customers with support contracts
Based from the office in Bolton.
Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (plus overtime)
We are looking to recruit for an AV Engineer to join our experienced engineering team
We specialise in building bespoke audio visual solutions to suit our clients in the corporate sector. We include boardrooms, auditoriums, training & meeting rooms, video conferencing, video walls, multi room installations and digital signage.
As our AV Engineer you will be predominantly be based on clients site but will work closely with our service delivery team to ensure projects are understood, supervised correctly on client sites with a small team of direct or sub contracted engineers, installed to the high qualities expected and handed over to our clients smoothly.
In between projects, your role will take on a support angle where again you will work with our help desk team on a 1st & 2nd line support based out of our office. 2nd line duties will involve traveling to customers sites to troubleshoot/fix issues and arrange and undertake preventative maintenance visits.
What you will be doing :
Installation and Commissioning of audio visual solutions
Commissioning, configuring and setup of bespoke AV software systems
AV onsite installation installing a range of equipment in a range of environments including Video conferencing Datapath , Crestron , audio solutions, switching, scalers, extenders and digital signage, Video walls, Rack building and wiring
Fault finding and diagnostics
On site management of teams and schedules
Technical checks for the projects following drawings
Organisation for day to day running with relation to van stock/paperwork/communication
In between projects, your role will take on a support angle where again you will work with our help desk team
What we are looking for :
Technical knowledge and install experience of Video Conferencing and Audio Visual systems.
Technical knowledge and install experience of AMX/Crestron
Strong knowledge of computer software/ operating systems
Good fundamental knowledge of networks, infrastructure, IP addressing, subnets etc
PC skills and programming of touch panels
Good understanding of Cisco Video Conference systems and bridging, Crestron controls and Datapath videowall processing desirable
The setup, testing, first line fault finding and replacing where necessary of electronic audio visual systems, or related field.
Full clean driving licence
Ability to problem solve on site
An AV installer with basic commissioning knowledge.
Good knowledge of AV software packages and basic IP network
