Business Development Manager – Coffee Machine Manufacturer
Location: Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Cambridge, Peterborough, London, Bristol, Cheltenham, Swindon, Watford, Reading
Package: £50,000 basic, 1% commission of every machine sold (uncapped), car or car allowance, 10% pension employer contribution, plus other leading benefits.
The Company
Our client is an established multinational coffee machine manufacturer. Selling in over 100 countries worldwide, with over 100 employees in the UK. Their product range is varied and is sold into most establishments across the foodservice sector including QSR, Pubs, Restaurants, Hotels, Cafes. Due to fantastic growth and a highly successful 2023/24 has allowed them to increase their sales team with this BDM position.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of driving new business opportunities within National Chain Restaurants, multi chain QSR and premium convercatance retailers. This is a hands-on, results-oriented role where your sole focus will be on identifying and securing new clients across the sectors mentioned. You will be working closely with an internal team to onboard customer you have won, this will also give you the opportunity to move on to win other business for the company.
You will:
• Conduct market research to identify trends, new opportunities, and target sectors.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the client base and grow market share.
• Generate leads through networking, events, and inbound enquiries, turning them into long-term partnerships.
• Create tailored pitches and proposals to secure new business.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Report regularly on performance, pipeline development, and market insights to management.
The Person
The ideal candidate will currently be working in a new business role in the coffee sector, but we would consider some who has left the coffee sector looking to get back into the industry from a new business role in catering equipment, or capital equipment as a national new business hunter.
You will have:
• Extensive experience in sales and business development, ideally within the coffee machine sector.
• A strong network and ability to build professional relationships with decision-makers.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• A strategic and organised mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• The drive and resilience to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
