Business Development Manager Field Based Position
My client is a global retail marketing company with a national and international presence in supermarkets and the leisure trade around the world. Founded in 1975, this market leading company are looking for driven retail sales biased individuals, looking to continue their journey within the FMCG sales sector. You will be working alongside and representing some of the most globally recognizable brands out there. Business Development Manager / Account Manager
This is a business development role selling hot food and hot food solutions into independent retail, symbol groups, universities and various stadia. Initially you will be tasked with selling machinery on a one off basis in an are where footfall will bring maximum sales for food products moving forward. You will then be responsible for the retention and growth of your territory. This a field based role where you will be responsible for managing your own diary and developing business from both creating your own leads, as well as networking with wholesale representatives and industry professionals. You will work closely with Building managers and company managers to assess suitability, health and safety and product demonstration in order to determine customer needs and potential sales opportunities. As the field business development manager, you will report to a national field sales manager where you will be provided clear direction and objectives, as well as a concise path for your career progression.
Moving forward, this will become more of an account management role.
It is essential that you come for a field sales background, preferably selling machinery or FMCG into the independent/convenience sector. You will extremely driven and focused as this is a very autonomous role, but you will also possess the ability to collaborate with other regional team members, in order to achieve mutual sales goals. You may come from a symbol or convenience store background had have experience working with brands and wholesalers. You will hold the gravitas to deal with various decision makers.
You must have experience selling in a face to face capacity and hold strong persuasive but consultative approach to the way that sell. Ideally, you will be located in any of the following locations: Crawley, Horsham, Maidstone, Tonbrodge, Tunbridge Wells, Epsom, Croydon or Woking
£24,000 + 10% Bonus
