Design Sales Consultant – Catering Equipment Sales
Location – London, Watford, Luton, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead, Reading.
Package - £38,000 - £50,000 DOE plus commission paid yearly (20% of base salary) car or car allowance and other company benefits.
The Company
We are a leading Commercial Kitchen Design House for the hospitality industry. We are looking to add to our design sales team. Established as a leading solution provider for the HoReCa sector with a strong reputation around the UK. We have an excellent relationship we leading heavy and light equipment manufactures for the hospitality sector, which helps us bring a diverse range of products to our clients. After a highly successful 2023 we are looking to explain our design team offering with addition in our Design Sales team.
The Role
We are seeking a driven and experienced Commercial Catering Project Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing and delivering projects from inception to completion. You’ll engage in regular client and project meetings, providing technical expertise and ensuring high-quality outcomes tailored to each client’s unique requirements. With a focus on commercial catering environments, your role will encompass the full project lifecycle, including specification, equipment selection, and technical detailing, While Revit experience is a plus, we’re prepared to train the right candidate. However, familiarity with the industry standards, whether through direct experience in commercial catering or through consultancy work. This role offers the opportunity for progression into a leadership position, potentially managing both designers and BIM managers as well as overseeing workflow and deadlines.
The Person
To excel in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
• Background in Commercial Catering Design: Solid experience in designing or delivering projects within the commercial catering industry or relevant consultancy environments.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in managing technical aspects of projects, including equipment specification, design elements, and the ability to provide precise technical details.
• Project Management Skills: Proven capability in independently managing projects from start to finish, including time management, scheduling, and project specifications.
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Personable with strong communication abilities, essential for managing external client relationships and collaborating effectively within a team.
• Design Knowledge & Software Skills: While Revit experience is beneficial, it is not required as we provide training. However, a design background and the ability to work with technical design software are advantageous.
• Leadership Potential: While previous management experience is not mandatory, an interest in growing into a leadership role is encouraged, as we seek to develop future managers within our team.
