According to a report by KPMG and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, permanent placements fell in November for the ninth month in a row at UK recruitment consultancies.
In addition, it was found that vacancy growth was at its weakest for a decade.
The report also highlights that temporary vacancies grew in November, but at their slowest rate in three years; however, by sector, the biggest decline in vacancies was the construction sector, whilst the greatest increase in temporary vacancies was found to be in the nursing/medical/care sector.
