Case Study

"I joined Midas Selection as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. My training was broken down into modules that would eventually make up the entire 360 degree recruitment process. I found this easy to digest because I discovered that I could focus on one area of the recruitment process at a time and learn at my own pace. My first week consisted of simply registering candidates. This helped me to really understand my sector and marketplace. To register appropriate candidates, I was taught how to use Boolean searches on job boards such as Reed and Jobsite, as well as utilising tools such as LinkedIn to grow my network of Foodservice industry professionals. I was then tasked with resourcing for specific assignments utilising my knowledge of candidate search and my network of industry specific candidates, having consistent support throughout the process. It was not long before I was placing candidates within these companies. The final part of my journey to Recruitment Consultant was Business Development, I was provided with training and coaching on how to outline our recruitment solution, learning about the variety of delivery methods. I was also thoroughly trained on how to highlight the features and benefits of specific candidates into a pool of target accounts from within my sector. I was constantly set goals and targets; and once I discovered that I would be promoted from trainee to consultant when I had made my first full placement with one of my target accounts, it was not long after that I went on to achieve this! I worked hard but the training and support was vital, and this allowed me to reach my goal much sooner than originally anticipated! "
