A few thoughts to consider…
If you’re fortunate enough to be offered two jobs at the same time, what do you do?
Firstly, do not make an instant decision; you have obviously impressed both companies as they can see your worth; it is now your task to see how they will impress you with their job, their culture and their opportunity.
Make sure, before doing anything, that you have a written offer. If you only have a verbal offer, buying time will help you make a decision. Simply call the person who has made you the offer, and say you are really interested in the job, but you would like the offer in writing first. This allows you the time to think about both opportunities.
After receiving the job offers in writing, you need a little time to think each offer through. Read each job offer and look through the contract of employment. Research the company further - check out Glassdoor and see what other people have said about the Company. Check out their social media posts; these can often give you a "feel" of what the company is like.
You don’t have to tell each company about the other’s offer. Just consider each offer separately - maybe try and get an hour or two inside each company, so you can see the environment, the work culture, and of course meet some of your potential new work colleagues. By doing this you will have a strong "hunch" as to which company is right for you. If you do feel comfortable, you could try and negotiate a better salary or package – but only if you feel comfortable doing this.
When you decide on which company is right for you, decline the other job offer professionally and with courtesy.
