The Opportunity
A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef to oversee a busy kitchen at an activity centre for young children and adults.
The Role
You will ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently during breakfast, lunch and dinner times. You will be responsible for the leading and motivation of your team, which consists of chefs and catering assistants. The menu is already created for each mealtime and is adhered to. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and due diligence.
The role is working 5 days out of 7 – 42 hours per week – overtime available
Shift patterns will either be 5.30pm – 1.30pm or 1.30pm 8.30pm
The ideal applicant
We are looking for an experienced Head/Sous Chef from a high-volume background, with experience of managing large teams and working within a busy environment. An enhanced DBS check is required.
We would welcome candidates from the MOD, Contract Catering, large Event and Wedding venues, large busy pub chains and hold the following qualifications
Level 3 Food Safety and allergen management
City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
Management qualifications and proven experience of coaching and mentoring your team
