The Perfect Sales Pitch

  Posted on 15/02/2019

Want to provide the perfect sales pitch?

Avoid these common mistakes What is the best way to pitch your product or service?

Here we look at some common mistakes sales people make when they’re pitching their product or service. Firstly, don’t focus on YOUR company – focus on the Client’s business instead. Always remember that your Client has a “problem” – and you want to understand what that problem is so you can tailor your product or service to solve that problem. So the best thing to do is focus on your Client’s business. Ask questions. Find out issues. Then when you feel you have enough information, promote your product or service – and how you can solve the Client’s problems. By doing this you are also building a relationship with the client, because you are taking an interest in their problems, and also their business.

Be honest. Remember that your Client has seen many sales people and can tell if you are being fake. So the best thing is to be honest, truthful and open about your product or service. In addition to this, ask questions; never bombard your Client with too much information. The purpose of your meeting is to talk about your Client and his business – not about yours. By letting your Client speak, you are building rapport, and you will develop an understanding of their business, and you may be able to identify other ways you can help their business.

Remember that your Client will have objections, so it is important to identify them quickly; if your Client is not convinced straight away, they have objections – it’s your job as a Sales Person to identify these. Good Luck!
