What traits do successful people have?

Success … have you got what it takes?

According to recent research, successful people have the following traits:

1) A passion for Improvement

Successful people are always keen on self-development and learning new skills to develop their careers. Successful people are their own worse critics – they are never satisfied and always strive for something better.

2) The need to compete

Successful people thrive on competition; they want to win. Without competition complacency sets in. Very often they set goals and want to achieve these milestones.

3) Obsession with detail

The little things matter – successful people pay attention to detail and are committed to accuracy.

4) The ability to let go

Successful people put past mistakes in the past; they learn that mistakes happen and move onto bigger challenges. Holding onto the past can slow you down.

5) Responsibility

Owning a failure is just as important as owning a success; successful people are able to learn from both.

6) Giving something back

Motivating and encouraging others; raising the confidence of others and offering praise where it’s due is another trait of a successful person.

7) Networking

Another trait of someone who is successful is they have a large network of contacts and they often network to further their cause.

8) Rewarding themselves

Successful people work hard and deserve to be rewarded for their efforts. This can be as simple as a hobby, or a dream holiday.

9) Keeping calm

Successful people don’t panic – they do not lose their sense of purpose and they are able to remain calm, even in a crisis.

10) A record of achievement

If you’ve achieved something, why not keep a record of it. Just as a successful football team keeps trophies, you should keep a record of all your successful achievements.
